Day 11 Recap of Juice cleanse fast for days 8-10

On Tuesday morning for breakfast I made a mean green juice that included more yellow apples, it was slightly tart but as bitter as it could have been. It tasted great though.


Later that evening I made a carrot fruit juice, its ingredients are

3 plums
5 yellow apples
4 pears
4 carrots
4 oranges
4 inch size ginger
1/2 lime
1 handful blueberries




The juice was very tasty and well received by my juice partner and his girlfriend.


On Wednesday my roommate made a fruit juice it contained
 1 pineapple 
3 thumb sized gingers 
1 lime 
3 green apples 
1 basket of blueberries 
1 basket of strawberries 
2 pears 
1 plum 
2 peaches  
2 oranges



Later that evening he made another veggie/make you well juice that tasted better than the other veggie juices he made. Although it contained onion in it i was able to slowly take it down along with the help of water.



Thursday I made a mean green juice that included pineapple, it was tasty and my roommate liked it!




As you see it's light green in colour, not as "mean" as my other green juices. It was also not as foamy.


Later that night i did a "mixed" juice, it had,

5 oranges
1 grapefruit
3 sweet potatoes
1 pineapple
2 cucumber
1 green apple
2 handful spinach
4 thin sliced ginger


The taste was a little odd but it was able to go down easy. The grapefruit overtook the rest of the ingredients. My roommate was able to drink it with minimum complaint so i deem it a success.

Day 7 Juice clense March 11, 2013

On this morning we had a very nice fruit juice made by my roommate/juicepartner, the recipe is

6 carrots
1 red pear
2 mangoes
1 co green grapes
2 thumb size ginger
2 oranges
4 plums
2 peaches
1 small co blueberries


The juice was very tasty and filling. As often as we can we try to add carrots or kale to our recipes on a daily basis because these provide essential nutrients. It is always good to have something green in your diet just for digestive purposes.

For dinner we had a veggie/make you well juice made by my roommate, for some reason he likes onions and   garlic in his vegetable juice. Oh, well! We shouldn't get sick for a long time.

Day 6 Juice fast Sunday March 10, 2013

On this morning i made an interesting green juice which had
10 kale leaves
  5 yellow apples
  5 green apples
  3 pears
  1 vine of green grapes
  3 celery stalks
  1 bush of broccoli
  4 inch sized ginger
  2 lemons
  1 quarter beet





The juice turned out well and were received well by my roommate and his girlfriend. 

Later on we had a red cabbage beet juice which contained,

1 red cabbage
1 beet root with leaves and stems
5 yellow apples
6 kale leaves
1 handful spinach
4 carrots
4 inch sized ginger root



Though the juice was not tart it didn't go over so well because my roommate, Lamont has had his fill of beets in juice. I also believe that beets with their earthy flavor can give one a feeling of fullness so they won't "overeat". I volunteered to drink the remainder of the juice that was left after we made full galsses and realized that i was going to have a hard time completing the mission. Well, I will have no excuse for being hungry.

Day 6 Juice fast recap for Saturday March 9, 2013

On Saturday we had broccoli and fruit juice which was very good,

 For lunch we had a variety of juices from salad to fruit juices. They all had character and boldness. We also juiced later that night because we had an abundance of cut up produce. The one juice we took pics of was Baby's first green juice made by Vickie Jones. The juice fast is coming along pretty well.

Juice fast recap for Thursday night and Friday day three and four

On Thursday night my roommate's girlfriend took us to Earthfare  and we got homemade juices. I got the the Green Goodness juice, i will give details on that juice later on another day. I can't remember the ingredients but it had a healthy taste. On Friday morning i made mean green juice which consisted of

6 medium kale leaves
1 cucumber
4 green apples
4 celery stalks
1/2 lemon
1 broccoli bush
3 red pears


I added a pears and more apples to the recipe to cut the tartness but it was still rich and vibrant in taste. It also maintained its lush greenness as you can see.

 On Friday evening i made a beet with friends juice. It contained

3 beet roots
4 carrots
5 green apples
1 hand full spinach leaves
1 broccoli bush
5 celery stalks
3 inch size ginger root
4 red pears



The taste of the beet juice was very rich and flavorful! I like just about any beet juice so im prejudice. my roommate seemed to enjoy it and could name the ingredients i put in it except for the pears.

As we juice we must not forget about the essentials like rest and plenty of water. I fail at both but i will be drinking more water as the fast continues.

We have come again to the time to do another juice fast! We began this fast on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 and will end it on Friday March 15,2013. Our first juice was Wakeup wowser, a time honored favorite.


This juice consists of apples, sweet potatoes oranges and pears
 3 sweet potatoes 
4 oranges 
2 apples
2 pears


The second juice of Tuesday consisted of kale, apples, pears and ginger.


Wednesday we did a variation of mean green juice
4 apples
5 pears
6 medium sized kale leaves
2 handfuls of spinach leaves
3 small ginger
1 broccoli stalk




The juice turned out nicely and it brought provided essential nutrients. It was tasty.

The second juice for Wednesday was Spicy Pineapple Juice:
 1 pineapple
 6 carrots
 6 medium kale leaves
 3 inch sized ginger
 4 apples



On today we started with a medicine juice that consists of Kale, Carrots, broccoli, sweet onions, green apples, oranges, ginger, cilantro and garlic.
